Background:
Akano was born in Osaka and spent his life there before going to Miyagawa High. He has good relationship with his parents. His father works as a journalist and is rarely at home, while his mother is a nurse. He has twin brothers who are still in 4th grade of elementary school. Akano's parents are not very strict and they are always welcome about Akano's decision. That's why Akano stays to be carefree. Akano is very close with his brothers, though sometimes he needs to stop them when they're trying to fight each other. His family is not really rich, there are even times when they don't have enough money.

When he was in the 2nd year of junior high school, he confessed to a girl who's one year above him. Surprisingly she accepted him, despite her popularity and also at that time Akano wasn't well- known among the students. But after a month, they broke up saying that the girl actually never loved him and she just used him to shoo her fans away. From that time, Akano decided not to fall in
love again.
